If voting could change the system, it would be illegal

Donated by Diana Pittock

This badge was produced as a cynical commentary on the power of voting to effect change.

The donor, Diana Pittock, writes:

As someone working for social justice in various ways it is important to me that people have the right to voice their views. When governments and others determine policies or systems that are unjust or harmful to sections of society it is the time to speak out. This is what should happen in democracy, not that we are always heard, nor agreed with. These badges were worn at various rallies and in campaigns saying it is our right to voice our views.
